Black History Month in the UK is marked annually during the month of October. The NUJ in Scotland is proud to be a part of Glasgow’s Black History Month events.
This year, the NUJ in Scotland will host: ‘Who tells/sells your story’.
The National Union of Journalists has a proud track-record of challenging inequality wherever it is found. Marginalised groups often have their stories told for them and not by themselves. This media literacy event will enable participants to better understand media culture and the messages we receive via media channels. Attendees will be empowered to harness their personal narrative and have the confidence and skills to get their issues and views heard through a range of platforms and channels within the mainstream and alternative media.
